My name is Natasha. I trained at the Central School of Speech & Drama. And I’ve been recording Storynory Stories since 2005, as well as attending Storytelling events, Puffin Book Launch, U.K. and the National Storytelling Conference U.S.A. I particularly love the traditional tales I have read on the sight by the Brothers Grimm, Alice and Little Red Riding Hood.Along side this I have taught in educational settings as a schools facilitator and led a first Storynory Drama Audio Workshop. I love fairy-tales although I’m no longer a child. And I love the way you tell stories, Natasha!! I discovered Storynory by chance when I was in bed with flu some time ago, and didn’t even have enough energy to read or watch TV. However, listening to your stories kept my spirits up. Dear Jesse, on behalf of Natasha – who always seems a bit shy about replying to comments on her page – thank you so much for your message and support. We are planning more Gladys with more music but as with all our projects, I’m not quite sure when it will finally come to fruition. I do know that we are recording the first of the new songs soon. The only trouble is that I haven’ yet written the new episodes. Katie the Witch is every popular and will keep on coming so long as we can find the inspiration for plot lines. Natasha has always helped inspire both the Gladys and the Katie stories with her ideas and creative input, as well as her amazing readings.

I am a 70 year grandfather of four. Since my grandkid’s parents both work, I am their taxi driver and shepard the three older children to and from school every day. Your stories keep them entertained while on the road. I appreciate that the stories you read are also educational. Their favorite stories are Katey the Witch and Gladys and the Chix. A week ago, I was in one of those moods where quite is sought after – wanting to listen to audio stories – Storynory happened.
Whether Storynory or just a book in my hand, it surely helps to hear/read a good bedtime story at the close of a hard day even if I’m 23! These stories are enjoyable and enchanting adventures for bedtime.
Natasha, it must be very exhausting to record so much! Surely, you sound pleasing. I admire the variation of pitch while you tell a story.

Greetings Storynory crew from Scott Base, Antarctica! I would just like to thank you for bringing joy to the Children of the world through storytelling. We are on a 4 week research expedition, looking into receding ice shelves and investigating the causes of this phenomena ( If you have any theories please let me know!) Unfortunately we have 5 children who have joined us in Antarctica who become very demanding and become bored very easily. Fortunately my computer is packed with Storynory and that keeps them happy. Dear Emma, Natasha is not around so I will do a quick reply. She would be best to tell you about narrating stories as she is obviously the master at that. .. I’ll try and think of a few writing tips…. I try to think of a character who has a personality that might lead to plots… like Katie who is a witch, but everyone thinks she’s a bit different or strange… she does not quite fit in. On individual stories I usually write out an outline before I start. It’s also great if a particular story can have a particular tone… like gently teasing or perhaps rich in romantic description…. a tone will improve your writing a lot. Good luck with your own stories !

Dear Tricia, We are missing Natasha very much too. We are trying to sort out a date for a recording session with her but have some logistical problems, so I can’t give you an promise about exactly when. Please tell your daughter to be patient. i always use my ipod on storynory and i always fell asleep after 15 min of natasha’s stories (usually i took longer to get to sleep)

I love your stories. Tonight I listened to part one of the mermaid story. Wow three parts, do you ever get tired telling such a long story. The music was spooky at the beginnning but I liked it.

I too have no children. I am 22, to be 23 March 27th and I have mild insomnia. My boyfriends would read me stories at night to help me fall asleep. Since I’ve discovered your podcast I no longer solicit them for a nighttime story, as I am usually so distracted with my own critique of their story-telling I often times find little in the way of rest after hearing a story from them. Your story-telling is much more melodic and soothing, I always find a good night’s rest after hearing one of your stories. Thank you so much. Please continue and good luck in your endeavors.
